Available Roles

Marjorie- female, mid 20's to early 30's, pretty, strong, confident, decisive (and somewhat rash) at heart. Victim of an attempted rape. Doesn’t stop to consider the consequences of her actions until the other women present the possibilities. At this point her convictions falter but her anger does not subside.

Raul-
male, can be anywhere from early 30’s to mid 50’s, construction worker. Manipulative, quick-witted and resourceful. Incredibly intuitive, reads people and situations well; immediately keys in on how to pit people against each other and uses any and every situation to his advantage.

Terry-
female, mid 20’s to early 30’s, naïve and boisterous. A bit boy crazy, a bit silly, a bit capricious; easily taken advantage of by men as well as by her female roommates. Takes things at face value and can only deal handle what she’s being faced with in a very immediate, moment to moment basis. A former rape victim.

Patricia-
female, late 20’s to early 30’s, level headed, reasonable, responsible, practical. Social worker. Succinctly evaluates any situation and immediately  knows the “right” thing to do. Analyzes people and situations, sometimes to a fault. Firmly believes in the judicial system and it‘s process.

Extremities is about a young woman named Marjorie who is attacked in her home by a man named Raul who attempts to rape her. During their struggle, Marjorie gets the upper hand, ties him up and traps him in the fireplace. As Marjorie deliberates over what to do next her two roommates, Patricia and Terry come home. Each of the three women has a different opinion on how the situation should be handled, when (or if) the police should be involved, and who the victim ultimately is. With a little manipulation from Raul they turn on each other at various points throughout the play.
