Extremities is about a young woman named Marjorie who is attacked in her home by a man named Raul who attempts to rape her. During their struggle, Marjorie gets the upper hand, ties him up and traps him in the fireplace. As Marjorie deliberates over what to do next her two roommates, Patricia and Terry come home. Each of the three women has a different opinion on how the situation should be handled, when (or if) the police should be involved, and who the victim ultimately is. With a little manipulation from Raul they turn on each other at various points throughout the play. |
