Barry Heathcote suffers from a rare form of schizophrenia, called Hyper Imagination Disorder. After being sentenced to 12 years in a mental institution for the controversial death of his mother, he is released to live with his recently engaged brother Patrick. When Rachel, one of Barry's former counselors, hears the news of his release, she revisits her old patient. Rachel intends to pursue a cure for Barry's disorder, but also has been paid an advance to publish a book based on his life. While Barry lives in a world full of Magic Caves, Enchanted backpacks and visitors from other planets, Patric is still living in the shadow of guilt and pain caused by their mother's death. In order to find each other they are forced to face their haunted past...
