A bittersweet romantic comedy set in Atlanta in 1939, on the eve of World War II and the opening night of Gone with the Wind, …Ballyhoo deals in a very personal way with being Jewish in the South, depicting the upper class German-Jewish community living in Atlanta, Georgia and an Eastern European Jew, familiar with prejudice but unable to fathom its existence within his own religious community.
