Show Description: Part three of Neil Simon's acclaimed autobiographical trilogy finds Eugene and his older brother Stanley trying to break into the world of show business as professional comedy writers while coping with their parents' breakup and eventual divorce. When their material is broadcast on the radio for the first time, the family is upset to hear a thinly-veiled portrait of themselves played for laughs.

All roles are available.

Kate Jerome: Lead, Female, 40’s – 50’s

Tough, hard exterior but has a vulnerable side; a stalwart homemaker devoted to her husband and family; not afraid to stand up for herself.

Ben Jerome: Lead, Male, 60 – 70’s

Stubborn, opinionated, has an unintentional sense of humor; has confused, forgetful ramblings, but deep down feels tremendous compassion for his family.

Eugene Morris Jerome: Lead, Male, 18-24

Still an innocent, honest, young man with a lot of heart; an aspiring comedy writer, we see the play through his eyes; good natured, charismatic and appealing.

Stanley Jerome: Lead, Male, 25-29

A bit of a ladies man, outgoing, tougher than his younger brother Eugene; very focused on being a successful comedy writer; “A Jewish Cary Grant”.

Blanche Morton: Lead, Female, 40’s – 50’s

Very wealthy and prosperous; softer and gentler than her sister Kate.

Jack Jerome: Lead, Male, 40’s – 50’s

Beleaguered, unsatisfied, but in his mind all of his decisions are justified; hurts his family and regrets it, but it doesn’t stop him from leaving.

**Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.**

Headshots and resumes are accepted but are not required.
