$50,000 by May 31st

Dear Patron,

We are so happy to announce that LVLT will be presenting Brighton Beach Memoirs in May 2021, one year later than originally intended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It has been a very difficult year for everyone.   LVLT is no exception.   We have cut all of our expenses to the bone.  We have been lucky enough to receive some relief and grant money from state and federal sources and of course we are so grateful for the support of our loyal patrons!

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts we find ourselves in a financial crisis.

Our landlord has put our rent back to its normal pre-pandemic level even though we cannot yet open to 100% capacity.   And worse, our rent will increase in June to include the money that was deferred during the pandemic.   The landlord has informed us there will be no further concessions.

We are hopeful that by June 1st, we will be able to reopen at full seating capacity but, we need to ensure that we have financial stability to get us through the summer and full reopening AND allow us to build back some of our cash reserve to we can continue to pay our rent.

Between the loss of ticket sales and with the untimely death of our benefactor, Tony Hsieh, we have been left in a dire situation.   While we would normally start running our subscription drive at this time, the board has agreed that we will not be selling a season ticket for the 2021-2022 season.   We will announce our slate of shows through the summer then we will announce the fall then spring.   We do not want to add additional liability of tickets to the number of tickets that we owe to patrons from the last year.    Tickets from last season will still continue to be honored for all upcoming shows.   As always, if patrons would like to donate their ticket credit back to LVLT, this would be appreciated.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 by May 31st.

Why so much?  Our monthly rent and expenses, approximately $15,000 a month.  If we can raise this amount it will give us the stability to get through the summer.  At present, we do not have the cash reserves to pay our rent through this summer.

We are attempting to get additional funding through the Small Business Association and the Save Our Venues grant and emergency disaster aid but, these are not guaranteed.

We need YOUR support to help us get through this dangerous time until we can reopen fully and generate enough ticket sales to pay our expenses.

We are accepting donations from both individuals and companies.   No amount is too big or too small.

If we all donate together, we can raise this amount in no time.

Just 50 people donating $1,000 gets us to our goal

OR 100 people donating $500

Of course, if someone can donate the whole $50,000 that would be awesome too!

I want to lead by example and put my money where my heart is and I will be starting off by donating $1,000 of my own money to LVLT.   My hope is that I can inspire 49 more of you to do the same or to donate at whatever level you can.

LVLT needs your help!   Please do not let this wonderful organization become the next casualty of COVID.  We need LVLT to continue, please donate via our website at ww.lvlt.org or by sending your donation via check to LVLT, 3920 Schiff Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89103 or drop it off in person when you come to see Brighton Beach Memoirs.

Thank you in advance for your support and making sure theatre survives in Las Vegas!

Sincerely
